To all those who celebrated or wanted to last night, Happy Halloween! I hope it was as awesome as possible, I know mine was.
Here's some photos that I think sum up the best holiday of the year, and I honestly have to say, I was so impressed with all the costumes I saw, I wish we could celebrate all year long.
Post below and tell me what your costumes were!

Hot List: Seven Things I'm Obsessed With This Week
First, I would like to apologize in advance for the odd ramblings that will follow. I meant to put this up a week or so ago, but because I'm in law school, all my free time has been eaten by torts and contracts and crim and stuff. But yeah, back to the Hot List.
It's music-heavy this week, but what can I say, Solange, Azealia Banks and Lana Del Rey are putting out some awesome videos that have catchy music AND good outfits. Also on the list, are a couple odd accessories I am loving that range from ear cuffs to silver platforms. I think it's a good if not odd list this week, so I hope you enjoy! Sorry again for the lack of posting!

Best of the Best: Casual Chic at NYFW
Spring time is represented in the following collections where white looks flourish, florals are still in bloom and simplicity thrives. I'm loving the minimalistic chic looks from Steven Alan and J. Crew, the gorgeous shift dresses from Jenni Kayne and the polka dot dresses from Katie Gallagher. Looks like casual chic will be all the rage in looks that can easily be dressed up for a night on the town and dressed down for an afternoon date.

Best of the Best: Opulence at NYFW
During fall we saw a love affair with brocade jackets and gold details, but this season took opulence to a whole new level. Maybe it's the world's love affair with the Royal Family, maybe its that Kate Middleton, who while she sometimes dresses the role of the princesses we grew up watching on TV, is far too modern day to make us consistently feel enchanted with her title, so designers took it in their own hands to make us remember the magic.
Now, don't get me wrong, I think Kate is amazing, and I guess what I'm saying is in a time when being a princess can mean wearing jeans and going grocery shopping, designers this season decided to take the royal title out of the grocery aisle and put it back in to the ball room.
Designers seemed to take the idea of royalty and put their own spin on it ranging from the Duchess of Cambridge to Daenerys Targaryen, from the far east to the upper east side, but no matter the inspiration, gold was everywhere on the runways ranging from the likes of Rodarte to Altuzarra, Marchesa to Vera Wang, and where gold brocade wasn't making an appearance, sequins and lace were making statements to tie together overt feminine ensembles. Even the shoes screamed Cinderella at Marchesa, so this season it's your chance ladies, dress yourself like a fairy tale princess, because hey, according to these designers, dreams do come true.

Style Icon: Miroslava Duma
This season no one stood out to me on the streets of New York as much as former Harper's Bazaar Russia fashion editor Miroslava Duma. She rocked amazingly bright colors and funky prints, and she seemed to have the most fun with her style but still kept it looking classy and original.
Duma founded a Russian style website called Buro 24-7, and she is often photographed by the street style photographers and thought of as one of the stand out ladies from the Russian fashion crowd. I think she is beautiful and fresh, and I love that she is a new face of style for a new generation because she wears clothes so effortlessly with a unique spin.

Best of the Best: Black and white at NYFW
NYFW brought a fun reprieve from the previous pastel and neon mania and returned to the basics: black and white.
I love the idea of mixing black and white clothes because I often think it's bold, chic and sophisticated. I think the designers showed this season that you don't have to have a ton of colors to make an outfit interesting.
Instead designers like Alexander Wang and Olivier Theyskens focused on fabric and texture to create intricacies in the design, and DKNY focused on form as opposed to pattern. The monochromatic looks this season were a new twist on a classic approach, and I think it's always interesting to take a step back and realize that even with the pattern frenzy happening, two solid colors can make an outfit pop just as easily.

Hot List: Six things I'm obsessed with this week
My Hot List this week contains the latest and greatest collaborations from Target and M.A.C. Cosmetics. M.A.C. combined with two of my favorite women, Azealia Banks and Carine Roitfeld, to make some amazing looking makeup, Target's newest Shops opened up with adorable housewares, and another thing I am loving, of course, is New York Fashion Week. Throw in a little Icona Pop and Rag & Bone, and I've got myself one amazing week.
